From the outset, the project faced major hurdles due to poorly selected materials in the client’s original scope. Many products were either discontinued or consistently out of stock, creating unavoidable delays in procurement and scheduling. Finding substitutes that met both quality standards and the client’s expectations became a central challenge.

2. Angstrom’s Design‑Led Solution

To overcome supply chain constraints and prevent schedule extensions, Angstrom leveraged in‑house design expertise to propose alternative interior layouts and finish palettes. These alternatives:

  • Were fully buildable with readily available materials

  • Provided a modernized aesthetic

  • Reduced lead‑time and labor coordination issues

  • Maintained compliance with HUD requirements

3. Renovation Execution

Once the redesigns were approved, Angstrom implemented a revised scope of work that included:

  • New modern cabinets

  • New interior and exterior doors

  • Updated bathroom vanities

  • Fresh flooring throughout all units

  • Compliance with HUD Standards for multi‑unit residential housing
